The Bongo Club is Edinburgh’s iconic underground venue, located in Cowgate. It is known for its diverse music line-up and electric atmosphere. It offers drum and bass nights and the occasional live gigs. It offers drinks deals like £2.50 tequila, £3 spirit mixers and £3 red stripe cans.

Smoking Area - Bongo has one of the best smoking areas there is, with benches and heaters it is the perfect place for a quick smoke, rest or a chat. But if you’re not careful before you know it you’ll have been out there all night.

Second Room - You can hear the sound system at bongo from all the way out on the street and as you enter it is very easy to get distracted by the main room, so Whats Fresh? recommends that you make sure to take a trip upstairs where there is lesser-known up and coming DJs playing and you can find hidden gems.

Cloakroom - Bongo gets very hot and sweaty due to the low ceilings but hidden away in the corner is a cloakroom. For only £2 they will keep your jackets safe while you dance the night away. Just make sure you don’t lose your ticket!
