The Merlin
A sport’s pub located in Morningside, The Merlin is a Greene King owned pub, that offers food and drinks from midday to midnight. It offers a 20% off student deal during the weekdays, and also offers many other deals including a ‘Double Deal’, which makes some drinks be cheaper as a double shot, rather than a single shot. On Saturday’s, it has it’s own Karaoke Night with it’s own personal DJ. It also has it’s own pool table, that is pay-per-play.

Utilise the Double Deal - A double vodka coke is £5.85, whereas a single vodka coke is around £6. This also applies to many other popular drinks, for example Disaronno and Coke and many gin and tonics. Ask the barman/woman what spirits are on the deal.

Use the student discount - You can pair the double deal with the student discount, for 20% off the already cheap double spirit price. Note however, the student discount card costs £1.50, but also does work in any Greene King affiliated pubs.

Great for pre-drinks - What’s Fresh recommends to go to The Merlin at the start of your night, as the atmosphere and type of pub is more suited for this.
