The Golf Tavern
Located next to the Bruntsfield Links, The Golf Tavern is a more student oriented pub that also offers golf clubs, to play at the pitch and putt on the Links. The pub itself has two areas, the main pub area is located on the first floor, which also has live music every weekend, a karaoke night on Wednesday’s and a pub quiz every Thursday. The upstairs offers another bar, with darts and a pool table. They also run a Darts tournament, which costs £5 on entry, but grants a free drink and 30% off pizzas from the Pub. It also offers a student discount through the Scotsman rewards scheme.

The Upstair’s Section - For students, the upstairs section in the Golf Tavern is the perfect place. The darts and pool table is great fun and it is the perfect place to chill out and enjoy a night with friends.
Pitch and Putt - During the spring/summer months, renting some clubs and going into the Links to play is good fun, and is a very unique social activity that you can’t really get from anywhere else in the city.
Chill Night with Friends - What’s Fresh recommends to go to the Golf Tavern if you just want a casual night with a couple of friends, as it is a lovely place to be in until close. It is also a good place to have drinks through the day as well.
